Always seeking to explore truth and beauty through music, upright bassist/composer/arranger, Aidan Cafferty, brings his love for contemporary improvised music together with the acoustic folk music he grew up on in his new project Homeward Bound. Comprised of an impressive line-up of musicians including Estar Cohen (vocals), Jonathan Barahal Taylor (percussion), Joshua Catania (piano), Travis Swanson (guitar) and Cafferty himself, this performance features arrangements of compositions by legendary English singer songwriter Nick Drake (1948-1974) with the goal of taking risks and reaching new ground, while also staying true to Drake’s extraordinary depth and vision.
