Paul Keller and Friends

featuring Terry Lower

Friday March 6 @ 8:00 PM

"There's a joy and dedication in the faces of the musicians, and Keller is the epitome of this spirit." ~Arwulf Arwulf Agenda

“Mr. Lower is a virtuoso jazz pianist with his own sound. He swings hard, has complete control of the keyboard, and is consistently creative. One listen to any of his performances on his four trio CDs makes it immediately obvious that he is an unsung musical giant.” ~Scott Yanow, jazz critic

The Paul Keller and Friends series continues with Terry Lower – a Kerrytown Concert House favorite and Michigan jazz treasure! Known for his incredible artistry at the piano, he returns to KCH with his long-time compatriots, string bassist, Paul Keller, and drummer, Pete Siers. A truly outstanding jazz artist, “… One listen to any of his performances on his four trio CDs makes it immediately obvious that he is an unsung musical giant.”

For 30 years, Terry was a meter reader for Consumer’s Power in Battle Creek, where he raised his two boys. Throughout his years at his day job, Terry continued to hone his skills and perform piano at the highest level. Now, in retirement from Consumer’s Power, Terry has plenty of time to devote to his solo piano and jazz trio playing, and to his beloved grandchildren. Terry lives in Ceresco, MI with his wife Beth.
