Paul Keller Quartet featuring Sarah D'angelo

West Side Story to Romeo and Juliet:
Jazz Impressions of Unrequited Love

Sunday, January 8th , 2023 @ 2:00 PM

Back for another “House” call, Paul Keller (string bassist, bandleader, composer, arranger) leads his stellar and tight-knit quartet through an entertaining concert of the familiar and beloved songs from the Broadway epic, West Side Story, the brilliant work of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim.

In true Keller-style, Paul has this to say about the project: “…Vocalist and clarinetist, Sarah D’Angelo delivers the melody with style, charm, and superior musicianship! Vibraphone wizard Cary Kocher spins his virtuosic yarns to delight your ears and the eyes! Pianist Adam Mosley is the franchise’s clean-up hitter who never fails to knock it out of the park every time! The band and the repertoire are all Keller-ized for your enjoyment!”

West Side Story is the re-telling of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. This Paul Keller Quartet concert is the jazz re-telling of that historic tale of unrequited love. Both Montagues and Capulets will enjoy the creative and surprising way Keller and his crew swing their way from Verona, Italy, to New York City, to Ann Arbor!
