"Kathryn Goodson is an extraordinary pianist ... with astounding technique and refined musicality." ~Swiss Review

Kerrytown Concert House begins its Fair the Fall of Songs weekend art song celebration non-traditionally with pianist, Kathryn Goodson, and her inventive project: SONGS4WINDS. Experience the lyricism and beauty of art song repertoire (Gershwin, Poulenc, Ravel, Rorem, Schumann, Vaughan Williams and more!) “sung” by the expressive and soulful playing of wind instrumentalists!
Kathryn Goodson will collaborate with University of Michigan’s Professor of Trombone, David Jackson, as well as rising young artists Nathan Chervin (tuba), Alex Gurchinoff (saxophone), Scott Johnson Jr. (clarinet), Cody Ross (euphonium), Matthew Koester (saxophone), and Scott Watson (trombone).
These wind instrumentalists sing and emote without words, promising a unique experience for lovers of the art song and operatic genres.
