Drummer, Sean Dobbins, continues to showcase emerging artists throughout Michigan with his Rising Stars series!

Cormac Avila is a senior at Father Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor whose passion has been music since junior high school. Starting classical piano instruction at the age of 7, he found a love for music after discovering that he could learn to play music that he liked, not just the exercises given by music teachers. In his sophomore year of high school he decided to focus his attention on jazz, joining local bands and attending music camps. While jazz is his main focus, he often performs in other settings and plays whenever he has the chance. He has received multiple awards for his achievements, and will continue his musical endeavors throughout college and beyond.
