Paul Keller and Friends

featuring Sarah D'Angelo

Sunday February 9 @ 2:00 PM

Sarah D’Angelo and Paul Keller have been making jazz together for almost a decade in Ann Arbor, Detroit and beyond. They enjoy bringing a steady stream of energy, joy, and top-notch musicality to every performance. Sarah D’Angelo’s specialty is uncovering little-known gems from the Great American Songbook and presenting them in her own charming, delightful and personal fashion.

Originally from Jamestown, NY, Sarah studied clarinet at University of West Virginia, and she earned her Master’s Degree in classical clarinet performance from the University of Michigan. It wasn’t until after graduation that Sarah began to recognize her love of jazz and nurture her extraordinary talent for singing. It didn’t hurt that Sarah’s father is a dixieland clarinetist and introduced her to jazz at an early age. Sarah met Paul in 2009 and they have been musical partners ever since, having played hundreds of concerts and recording 4 CDs together. Paul says, “Sarah is an important part of my musical life; I admire her as a person, I respect her as a fantastic musician and I simply adore her singing!”

Sarah and Paul will be joined tonight by their mighty musical companions saxophonist Steve Wood and pianist Adam Mosley.
