Ann Arbor native, and 2018 winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in the Michigan District, baritone Samuel Kidd returns home to present, Youth and Love: a song recital inspired by Ralph Vaughan Williams’ brilliant Songs of Travel which explores themes of young love, the loss of innocence, and coming to grips with life’s harsh realities. Kidd will be joined by pianist, Bernard Tan, for what is sure to be a beautiful and compelling evening of English art songs by two enormously talented and rising young artists.
