Back in September of 2018, Broadway star, Shoshana Bean, was in the area, looking for an intimate venue in which to perform songs from her soon-to-be-released album, Spectrum, and decided that Kerrytown Concert House should be the place! KCH was more than honored to present her and she gave a powerful performance to a sold-out House. The experience was memorable for her, too, which is why she reached out to us again to see if we would be interested in sharing her recent holiday film project and livestream with you. We are proud that Shoshana Bean’s Kerrytown Concert House performance was meaningful to her, and happy to provide this avenue for you to experience her holiday artistry.
Shoshana Bean’s Sing Your Hallelujah, is a holiday concert event filmed live at the Apollo Theater in New York City and is now streaming on demand through January 9th. The concert includes special performances by her dear friends, Broadway and Television star Jeremy Jordan, Tony Award Nominee Daniel J. Watts (Tina), Tony Award Winner Gavin Creel (Hello, Dolly!), Britain’s Got Talent Finalist / #1 Billboard Artist Connie Talbot, recording artist Shayna Steele and tap dancer phenom Jared Grimes.
Purchasing your virtual ticket for Sing Your Hallelujah helps these artists, but it also helps Kerrytown Concert House, as we will make a 10% commission for each ticket sale made through our unique link to the event.
After sold out engagements in 2018 and 2019 at Harlem’s World-Famous Apollo Theater, Shoshana Bean returns to the legendary stage; this time for a global audience. Sing Your Hallelujah reimagines the Christmas television special of long ago. With fresh interpretations of holiday classics, intimate collaborations with special guests and honest reflections of an unprecedented year in history, Shoshana gets to the heart of what is essential: connection, tradition, and the power of love.
Shoshana Bean made her Broadway debut in the ensemble of the musical Hairspray, but soon graduated to one of Broadway’s leading ladies when she succeeded Idina Menzel as Elphaba in Wicked. In recent years, Bean appeared as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and as Cee-Cee Bloom in the new musical adaptation of Beaches, for which she earned a Jeff Award Nomination for best lead actress in a musical. She has performed alongside David Foster, Postmodern Jukebox, Ariana Grande and Brian McKnight, and her latest album, Spectrum, holds the distinction of landing at #1 on the Billboard Jazz Charts.
