Welcome the end of Winter and celebrate the beginning of Spring with the Bill Lucas Jazz Quartet! Featuring many notable spring-like jazz standards such as “Joy Spring”, “It Might As Well Be Spring”, “April in Paris”, “Stormy Weather”, “Up Jumped Spring” and others!

William “Bill” Lucas is an Assistant Professor of Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance, where he has been on faculty for over a decade. In addition, Bill is a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Trumpet section, a post he has held since 1988. Prior to serving at UM, Bill has served on the faculties of the Oberlin Conservatory and Wayne State University. A prolific arranger for small ensembles, Bill’s compositions and arrangements have been performed by the Detroit Symphony, the Phoenix Symphony, and the Detroit Chamber Winds and Brass. He is joined by a line-up of stellar jazz masters:
