In addition to being a founder of Tribe Records and playing alongside musicians like Marvin Gaye, Sun Ra, and Aretha Franklin, Harrison is a passionate advocate of community mentorship, education, and engagement.

Tune in for a program featuring works from Brahms, Clara Schumann, Debussy, Poulenc, and Strauss; as well as 20th and 21st century cabaret and musical theatre pieces from Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, and Jeff Blumenkrantz. This recital, consisting of songs from Brahms to Berlin, captures the various aspects of summer love.

Brazilian pianist and composer Heloísa Fernandes paints her musical pictures with contrasts – driving rhythm and delicacy, joyous dance and quiet introspection, playfulness and elegance – and in doing so has been compared to the legendary Egberto Gismonti. To acknowledge and honor the need for humanity to heal and move forward during this pandemic, she has named this performance Dança do Renascimento (Renaissance Dance). This performance is given from her new home in São Luiz do Paraitinga, a city in the eastern part of the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
