Thomas Rosenbaum, painter
Gallery Reception: 5-7 PM | Exhibit showing Aug. 3-29
This is a free event.
This work represents explorations into abstract non-representational painting using various mediums in large and small formats. The work is influenced by the abstract expressionists and especially the color field artists of the mid-twentieth century and further influenced by the introduction of new mediums available today. The emphasis is on a balance of color, composition, value and texture to create works that evoke an emotional response. The complexity of the work invites an exploration that involves more than a quick glance to appreciate all the nuances of the work. The paintings represent more than 50 years of study, exploration, practice, workshops, classes and readings resulting in images that I hope you will enjoy in this wonderful setting.
To love art truly means to improve life.
