Composer Adam Hurst is known for his unique, improvised melodic “stories.” His music blends Middle Eastern India and Gypsy traditions with Western Classical in haunting and seamlessly flowing compositions.
Cellist Robin Hasenpflug’s career as an orchestral player, solo recitalist and chamber musician has spanned both sides of the Atlantic. In 2014, Hasenpflug traveled to Vittorio Veneto, Italy where she participated in the Holter Chamber Music Festival giving both solo and chamber music performances, accompanied by Dr. Kathryn Goodson most recently at Westminster College. Robin has also performed in Germany with the Pfalztheater Opera Orchestra in Kaiserslautern and the Neue Philharmonie in Frankfurt. Currently a member of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra in Madison, Wisconsin and Principal Cellist of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra in Western Pennsylvania, Hasenpflug also performs regularly with the Erie Philharmonic and the Wheeling Symphony. Serving as the adjunct professor of cello at Mercyhurst University as well as Westminster College, she holds a Master of Music degree in Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory and a Bachelor’s degree in Performance from the Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory.
Multi-instrumentalist Andy Hasenpflug has accumulated an extensive list of credits in dance, theater, jazz, rock, classical, patriotic, and commercial venues. These include the US Air Force Band, Denver Contemporary Dance Co., Rosanna Gamson/Worldwide, Equity Library Theater, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and jingles for Kroger food stores and Hoolihan’s restaurants. He has worked as a dance accompanist at the American Dance Festival, Slippery Rock University, Henan Normal University (China), Columbia College Chicago, and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. He has composed for many dance companies, choreographers, filmmakers, and universities. His teaching credits include the University of Cincinnati, Columbia College Chicago, and Slippery Rock University. He has recorded with the United States Air Force Band, Rick Lisak Band, Sylvain Acher and Fabien, Divide by Pi, and Hasenproject, as well as creating an ongoing group of solo recordings. He holds degrees in percussion and composition from the State University of New York at Purchase and The University of Cincinnati. Mr. Hasenpflug currently resides in Slippery Rock, PA, where he freelances and works as the music director for the dance department of Slippery Rock University. In the summers he serves as the Music Director for the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC.
