Pianist/composer/musician extraordinaire Steve Rush performs John Cage's Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano.

Tickets to Edgefest are $10 - $30 for individual ticketed events, with a limited number of student tickets available for most performances. An Edgepass ($135) is available, which allows for admission to all events, as well as a special dinner with our Edgefest artists. A Saturday daypass is available for $50.

Edgefest is made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius.

Steve Rush

Stephen Rush is a Professor at the University of Michigan, where he works with students from music, dance, art, and engineering as the director of the Digital Music Ensemble.

Rush has had premieres in five continents, and released over 20 CD’s, as well as a book on Jazz theology called Better Get It In Your Soul.

Rush has premiered and recorded his music with major orchestras and performed with Roscoe Mitchell, Henry Grimes, Steve Swell, Eugene Chadbourne, Pauline Oliveros, his band “Yuganaut“, “Blue” Gene Tyranny, and the late Peter Kowald.
