Event Details
International Society of Bassists competition winner Andrew Kratzat brings his new drummer-less quartet to Kerrytown. Kratzat plays across the country with artists from all over Michigan including Hot Club of Detroit, Jeremy Kittel, and Seth and Daisy May, to name a few. Since the release of his first album "The Dentist," which features a vast array of musicians from the Ann Arbor/Detroit area, he has been looking to find a solid set of musicians to use as his canvas. The Andrew Kratzat Quartet features the fantastic saxophone work of professor Andrew Bishop and Daniel Fisher-Lochhead, supported by the new Canterbury House musical director Matt Endahl on piano. This group will explore different colors created by this unique instrumentation as well as different platforms for improvisation than just your usual walking bassline. Come on out for a night of experimental jazz!
Kerrytown Concert House is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
